How do we get started?
Step 1- Phone Consult and/or Screening
Schedule a phone consult to discuss your child and their strengths and areas of need. You also have the option of scheduling a free screening to see if an occupational therapy evaluation is recommended.
Step 2- Evaluation
Brandi will meet with you and your child at your home or another community setting to complete a comprehensive occupational therapy evaluation. Depending on your family’s needs, this can include questionnaires, standardized assessments, observation, and play. If occupational therapy services are recommended, Brandi will work collaboratively with your family to develop an individualized treatment plan based on your family’s strengths, needs and goals.
Step 3- Doctor’s Referral
Before treatment can begin, a doctor’s referral is required.
Step 4- Treatment
Occupational therapy sessions may occur 1–2 times per week and typically range from 30–60 minutes, depending on your child’s individual needs and treatment plan.
At Bright Foundations Pediatric Therapy, we specialize in providing therapy in familiar, comfortable environments where children feel at ease. We are occupational therapy that comes to you.
Sessions can take place in your home, school, library, or another community setting.
By bringing therapy into the environments where your child naturally learns, plays, and participates, we can help make therapy meaningful and functional for everyday life.
Step 5- Measuring Progress
Progress will be monitored throughout your child’s occupational therapy journey. Brandi will regularly document progress and assess your child’s response to intervention to ensure therapy continues to address their individual needs and goals. The goal is to help your child make meaningful gains that support their ability to participate, learn and thrive in everyday activities.
